He has been a Director of Admissions, Director of Alumni Relations, and an Assistant Vice President for Graduate Admissions. His experience on the college campus allows him to understand the nuances and needs of the traditional and non-traditional student, as well as the parent’s perspective, and the college’s approach. Understanding the mind of the prospective student and the language of higher education marketing, Fern offers an understanding of the challenges and needs that a college has when working to build the enrollment and awareness of a brand. He has developed a particularly keen insight into the community college prospective student.
